How I use The Rani Moon Journal 🌙

When I started planning my moon phase years ago, I wasn’t totally committed and focused on what the moon phases meant.

I’d mark the moon phases but then not really think about it until the new moon or the full moon meditations or rituals I’d do!

When I started realizing that the moon phases line up perfectly with my cycle after my 2nd child last year, I began to notice that I felt exactly the way each phase was meant to help us manifest. I started paying way more attention to the moon and how it affected ME.

After many months of just THINKING about it, and dreaming about it, I went to @wildforplanners Go Wild DC where I finally got to give a huge hug to Bess from @lightsplanneraction (it felt like years of hugs in one moment) and the rest is history 📚

Honestly, I couldn’t be more honored to have such a unique vision brought to LPA pages. I wasn’t sure if Bess would think I was totally weird for this but she was in!

The moon phases, journaling, and keeping themes of each phase enlightened my entire perspective, my creativity, and my heart of course.

Being able to take the thoughts I was having and put them so flawlessly into these pages was magical. Like nothing I’d ever felt with any of my planners. Planner Peace.

This challenge took me just over 30 minutes and was a bit harder for me to draw while timing myself! My goal is to fight the perfectionism that holds me back from every step of the way and exercise my artistic brain. This one did just that.

The moon is a friend of mine 🌙 I’d love to tell you all about her.

Have YOU ever felt different on a full moon? Heard someone say “it must be a full moon tonight!!” ?? Well that’s the vibe we’re focusing on.

If the tides of the oceans can be affected by the moon, and humans are made of water too.. is it really that far fetched that we are ALSO affected by the moon?

When I began to challenge my normal planning style and ZOOM OUT to that monthly view, my life changed drastically. Not just because of checking off things on my lists, but because I FELT better and had more COMPASSION for other and myself. It humbled me in so many ways.

Now, I give grace on low energy weeks while making concrete plans in between taking ACTION when I’m at my highest level of energy. This applies to so many diff things, not JUST the moon. I have been fighting my ND brain my whole life, but this has worked for me.

Our first time! It took me about 25 minutes to go from idea to sticker but it was definitely worth it. Timing myself kept me focused from start to finish and I can’t wait for the next one.

I had it ALL wrong 😑

For years I had planned on a weekly perspective, then when I started working from home I needed more daily planning to get my ish together. As life evolves, we go through planning transitions just as much as life transitions. I couldn’t wrap my head around going back to weekly when I realized daily didn’t suit me anymore. 🤔

Well what exactly was missing then? Suddenly the thoughts started to form more on how I manage the things I have to do, how long it takes me to accomplish things I’ve thought about doing, and what energy levels I had to do those things.

Yeah, I needed to truly ZOOM OUT and look at my monthly. If I did more monthly planning up front, I’d have a better perspective on what I have the capacity to accomplish. When I started looking at things as a MONTH instead of week or day, it truly started to just CLICK!
